Assistance Programs
We serve the entire Peterborough community, including patients covered under provincial and federal programs. If you’re eligible, we’ll help you access the care you need without unnecessary stress.
CDCP (Canadian Dental Care Plan)
Are you covered under the new Canadian Dental Care Plan? You’re in the right place. We are a registered CDCP provider, and we can guide you through your coverage and explain possible remaining costs.
Ontario Works (OW) / ODSP
We welcome patients covered under Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program. Please bring your valid dental card to your appointment. From there, we’ll take care of the rest, including submitting claims directly.
Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO)
If your child is covered under Healthy Smiles Ontario, we’re happy to help them maintain their dental health. You only need to bring your child’s HSO eligibility confirmation and any required documentation. We’ll guide you through the process and make sure your child receives affordable, high-quality care.
Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)
Our team is completely familiar with the challenges of settling into a new place. To support our new neighbors, we accept the Interim Federal Health Program and help refugees and newcomers access essential and emergency dental care. If you’re covered under IFHP, don’t forget to bring your IFHP documents. Our team will handle billing.
Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB)
Kawartha Dental Clinic also accepts NIHB coverage for eligible First Nations and Inuit patients. Our team will be glad to help you verify your eligibility, submit claims directly, and explain any additional costs, if they apply.
Private & Workplace Insurance
If you have private or employer-based coverage, you’ll find our process refreshingly simple.
