Modern Dental Care with a Personal Touch
Our dentistry, Kawartha Dental Clinic, is where advanced technology, professional care, and human connection work together to maintain your dental health. We do our best to help you feel informed and comfortable during your visits.
Our team proudly helps patients of all ages across Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Some patients visit us for family dental care, while others come looking for solutions they couldn’t find elsewhere, such as sedation dentistry, wisdom tooth removal, or full-mouth rehabilitation. No matter the reason for your visit, our approach stays the same: listen first, explain clearly, and treat you with the kind of care we would want for our own families.

What Sets Us Apart
Experienced Care You Can Feel Confident In
At Kawartha Dental Clinic, our dentists bring decades of combined clinical experience across general, restorative, cosmetic, and specialty dentistry. Each member of our team is committed to staying at the forefront of dental science through ongoing education and professional development.
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re coming in for a routine cleaning or a complex full-mouth rehabilitation, you’ll receive a thorough evaluation, a clear explanation of your options, and a treatment plan built around your goals — not a template.
Many of our patients have been with us for years, and many more were referred by friends and family. That kind of trust is something we work to earn and maintain at every single visit.

Sedation Dentistry Designed Around Patient Comfort
Dental anxiety is real and at Kawartha, we take it seriously. We offer a range of sedation options so that patients who feel nervous, have a sensitive gag reflex, or simply prefer a more relaxed experience can receive the care they need without unnecessary stress.
Our sedation services include nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral conscious sedation. Our team will walk you through each option, its effects, and what to expect so you’re always in control of your care.
Sedation dentistry also allows us to complete more treatment in fewer appointments, which is especially helpful for patients who have delayed dental care for years and need to catch up efficiently and comfortably.

Innovation
Advanced Technology That Improves Your Experience
At Kawartha, we invest in clinical technology not for its own sake, but because it makes diagnoses more accurate, treatments more predictable, and your visits more comfortable.
Cone Beam CT (CBCT) Scanning
Three-dimensional imaging that reveals bone structure, nerve pathways, and tooth positioning with extraordinary precision — essential for implant planning, wisdom tooth assessment, and complex restorations.
Digital X-Rays
Instant, high-resolution diagnostic images with up to 90% less radiation than traditional film X-rays. Results appear on screen in seconds, making it easier to review your oral health together.
Intraoral Cameras
A small, comfortable camera lets us show you exactly what we see inside your mouth — making it easier to understand your treatment options and feel fully involved in your care.
Dental Lasers
Used in soft tissue procedures and certain restorative treatments, dental lasers reduce discomfort, minimize bleeding, promote faster healing, and often eliminate the need for sutures.
Patient Safety
Hospital Level Infection Control Standards
At Kawartha Dental Clinic, patient safety begins long before you sit in the chair. Every instrument and surface in our clinical spaces is handled with the same level of care we would apply in a surgical setting.
We use Class B vacuum autoclaves to sterilize all instruments to hospital standards. Our sterilization room is equipped with biological monitoring systems tested weekly. Clinical areas are thoroughly disinfected between every patient, and single-use materials are used wherever possible to eliminate cross-contamination risk.
- Class B vacuum autoclaves for instrument sterilization
- Weekly biological monitoring of sterilization systems
- Single-use materials wherever clinically appropriate
- Full surface disinfection between every patient
- HEPA filtration and enhanced ventilation systems
- Protocols aligned with RCDSO infection control guidelines

Our Standard
A Higher Standard of Dental Safety
Our commitment to safety extends throughout every corner of the clinic. From our ventilation systems and HEPA filtration to our staff training protocols, Kawartha Dental Clinic operates at a level of rigor that goes beyond regulatory requirements. We believe that a clean, safe environment is not a feature it is a fundamental right every dental patient deserves.
01
Surgical Suite Standards
Our clinical spaces are designed, equipped, and maintained to meet the standards of a surgical environment — because your safety deserves nothing less.
02
Verified Sterilization
Every sterilization cycle is logged and biologically verified weekly, ensuring instruments meet confirmed sterility standards before any patient contact.
03
Air & Surface Safety
HEPA filtration, enhanced ventilation, and EPA-approved surface disinfectants are used throughout the clinic to maintain a clean, safe breathing environment.
